Sourcing Black and White Adhesive Floor Squares for Alternating Layouts

For a black-and-white alternating floor, buy an approved pair of samples before committing to cartons. The matte-black marble-look and white-marble references share 60cm faces, about 1.5mm thickness and 28 pieces per carton. Check their joint fit and finish together, then count black and white from the complete drawing; an odd grid may need different quantities of each.

Two Product References with a Shared Nominal Format

Relia Wallpaper can discuss the matte-black and white-marble references as a proposed pair. Both list WPC/PVC,60cm faces,about1.5mm thickness and28 pieces per carton, with waterproof and eco-friendly features.

Those shared values make them worth sampling;they do not establish a factory-matched checkerboard set. Keep both product links and compare the actual dimensions, edges and finish together.

Review the Black Finish within the Whole Palette

Put the matte-black marble sample beside the selected white marble under the room lighting. Compare sheen and veining as well as colour. Two marble prints give a different effect from plain solid colours. Let the paired physical sample govern the finish choice;the illustration only shows the design direction.

Examine the Places Where the Colours Meet

Arrange several squares in alternating rows on a flat sample area. Check opposing edges, corners and surface levels. Measure multiple pieces from both references using the same method. The nominal60cm and approximate1.5mm descriptions do not supply matching tolerances;agree any required limits before ordering. A two-by-two arrangement is a useful joint check.

Count Each Colour from the Complete Layout

Example only:a seven-column by five-row grid contains35 whole60cm squares and covers12.6m² before allowances. Starting with black gives18 black and17 white;reversing the start reverses those counts. Mark borders, doorways and cut pieces on the real drawing before counting each colour. Equal floor area does not automatically mean equal colour quantities.

Keep the White Decorative Reference Specific

Keep the white product’s own image and selection with the drawing. Examine several faces for veining and tone, and agree which rotations are acceptable. A different white listing creates a new paired-sample decision even if its nominal dimensions look similar. Keep the accepted material and approximate thickness unchanged unless a new alternative is approved.

Build Two Clear Carton Lines

Round each colour separately because the source packing is 28 pieces per carton for both references. In the 35-piece example, one black carton and one white carton supply 56 pieces: ten black pieces beyond the eighteen used and eleven white beyond the seventeen used, before any other allowances. Their combined nominal area is 20.16m². These are packing consequences, not required spare percentages or confirmed minimum quantities. If the drawing needs more than 28 of either colour, that colour’s carton count rises independently; the other colour need not increase by the same amount.

Approve the Combination as One Design Decision

Retain the paired sample, product references, orientation and colour drawing as one approval. Include base preparation and transition requirements. At receipt, compare both colours together for identity, shade, face size, edges and level before laying either across the room. Approving each colour alone can miss the mismatch where they meet.

Keep a Practical Alternative in the Brief

Define the fallback before the order if the pair does not form an acceptable joint. The buyer might choose one of the references for a single-colour field, revise the layout, or request another paired sample. Each alternative changes the purchasing decision; it should not be introduced as an unapproved substitution at dispatch. Do not assume a supplier can trim, re-gauge or custom-match these squares from the existing product descriptions. State the preferred fallback and the evidence needed to accept it, so a failed sample comparison does not turn into a vague approval.

  1. Compare the two actual samples
  2. Accept the pair or record the mismatch
  3. Choose single-colour, redesign or new sample
  4. Recalculate affected colour/carton lines
  5. Approve any substitution before supply

Send the Pair and the Quantity Plan Together

Send two clear RFQ lines linked to one approved pattern. Each line should name the product, approximate thickness selection, piece requirement and proposed carton quantity. Attach the colour drawing, paired-sample reference and floor conditions. Ask for the applicable minimum and commercial terms for each reference; neither source here states a MOQ. For the example, distinguish the 35-piece installation grid from the two-carton purchase. That distinction lets the offer address the actual black-and-white combination while keeping surplus pieces, packing and any additional reserve visible to the buyer.

Build the Two-Colour Floor Order

Send both product links, a marked black-and-white grid and the number of each colour required. Include your paired-sample observations and proposed cartons so the offer can address the actual combination, remaining material and any acceptable fallback.
