Reeded Glass-Look Film for Existing Interior Glazing

For a reeded finish on existing glass, choose the mounting route first. The non-adhesive PVC/PET reference lists 60, 90, 120 and 152cm widths at 0.20mm; the adhesive PET reference lists 152cm width and 0.10/0.12mm gauges. Both use 50m rolls with a one-roll-per-model minimum. Compare their actual samples, then select the width and attachment type that fit your panes.

A Static-Cling Reference for the Shortlist

Relia Wallpaper can discuss both reeded-film routes against your glass and mounting preference. The non-adhesive PVC/PET reference lists 0.20mm thickness, 50m length and 60, 90, 120 or 152cm widths.

Select the actual numbered reeded appearance and keep its image. The listing also contains other frosted finishes, so a number identifies the requested design rather than proving a particular width or a complete width-and-finish combination.

Compare the Supplied Widths Separately

The width comparison is decisive when an unjoined panel is required. For example, a 78cm-wide glass pane with an assumed 2cm trimming margin on each side needs an 82cm-wide blank. A 90cm static-cling width can accommodate that assumed blank; a 60cm width cannot. The 152cm format also fits but leaves a wider side offcut unless another usable piece can be nested beside it. Draw the actual cutting arrangement before choosing by nominal roll area. The margin is illustrative; the selected film instructions determine real trimming requirements.

A PET Adhesive Option with Its Own Finish

The adhesive alternative is removable PET film, listed at 152cm × 50m with 0.10mm and 0.12mm thickness references and four numbered appearances. Agree one supplied finish and gauge. Waterproof, decorative and privacy-protection features are listed.

For pressure-sensitive film, application pressure helps the adhesive contact the glass; the PET gauge alone does not define that bond. Keep this product’s application and removal instructions separate from the non-adhesive route.

Plan the Vertical Pattern Across the Panes

Use the same upward orientation on the drawing and on the sample photograph. Across several panes, show whether reeded lines stay vertical in every opening and where frame divisions interrupt the view. A pattern can look continuous from a distance while its line spacing or phase differs at a join. Place two sample pieces beside one another when a visible joint is unavoidable. Approve that joint appearance before calculating material use, rather than rotating a cut piece to save length and discovering that the stripe direction has changed.

  1. Mark the upper edge on every pane
  2. Keep the selected stripe direction
  3. Position any proposed joins
  4. Compare adjacent sample pieces
  5. Approve the layout before counting rolls

Confirm the Gauge for the Chosen Product

Use thickness to identify the supplied construction. The static-cling product lists 0.20mm; the adhesive PET product lists 0.10/0.12mm. A larger number does not establish greater privacy or durability. For receipt checks, agree the measurement method, location and tolerance, then record material, mounting, gauge, width, length and finish on one order line.

Keep the Original Glass in the Application Brief

The existing glass remains the building substrate. State whether it is clear, coated, laminated or textured, and identify the applied face. The film provides a reeded appearance, with listed heat-insulation and privacy descriptions. Any measured screening or safety requirement needs information for the actual film-and-glass arrangement.

Use a Product-Specific Minimum

Both product references state a minimum of one roll per model. A 90cm static-cling order and a 152cm adhesive-PET order therefore need separate quantities and specifications, even if both are called reeded film. As a simple length example, four panes needing 2.14m-high blanks consume 8.56m when cut sequentially, before extra matching or rejected lengths. The standard 50m purchasing format can leave considerable material beyond those four panes. Keep that difference visible when comparing trial installation cost with a larger planned rollout.

Approve the Appearance Before the Bulk Order

Compare both samples on representative glass using their own application methods. View line direction, background visibility, reflected light and edges from the positions that matter. If later removal is important, include an agreed trial and inspect the glass afterwards. Similar reeded photographs do not establish identical handling or removal behaviour.

Send an Existing-Glass Sourcing Brief

Build the RFQ around one preferred route and any acceptable alternative. Supply the pane widths and heights, glazing description, numbered appearance reference, proposed roll width, selected gauge and roll quantity. Mark the no-adhesive requirement explicitly if it is essential. Ask the offer to return those fields together with packing, application information, sample scope and delivery terms. If the supplier proposes a different gauge or width, review the cutting plan and appearance again before accepting it as a substitute for the original selection.
