Wide Self-Adhesive Wallpaper Rolls for Continuous Wall Projects
For a continuous wall project, choose the finish and map the joins before ordering a wide roll. Our 1.22m × 50m self-adhesive PVC references provide a common format for comparing gloss and embossed designs. The worked drop examples connect wall dimensions to a cutting plan, then to the complete rolls you buy.

Three References with One Listed Roll Format
Relia Wallpaper's references 18231, 18232 and 18233 share a 1.22 m × 50 m format, a listed 0.20–0.30 mm thickness range and a one-roll minimum. That gives your project a common dimensional basis while leaving the actual gloss, embossing and pattern choice tied to the selected product.
The high-gloss gold-marble 18231 is not automatically the same surface as the embossed 18233 or the selected Multi design of 18232. Identify the approved reference and required thickness on the order. A common size makes cutting plans comparable; it does not make the decorative products interchangeable.
| Reference | Listed roll / thickness | Selection role |
|---|---|---|
| 18231 | 1.22 m × 50 m; 0.20–0.30 mm | High-gloss gold-marble appearance |
| 18232 | 1.22 m × 50 m; 0.20–0.30 mm | Selected classic/embossed design |
| 18233 | 1.22 m × 50 m; 0.20–0.30 mm | Embossed marble/wood-design reference |
Choose the Pattern Direction Before Placing the Seams
Choose the pattern direction before counting drops. A vertical layout uses the 1.22m width across the wall and the wall height as the basis for each cut. Position the first full width around the main view, corners and openings. Approve an adjoining sample and matching arrangement; wide material can reduce join count compared with narrower strips, but the layout still contains joins.

Use 61 Square Metres as a Nominal Starting Point
Each listed roll contains 1.22 × 50 = 61 m² of nominal material. This is useful for comparing supply quantities but does not describe guaranteed finished coverage. Cutting to wall height leaves remainders, and matching a design can change the usable cut length.
For an illustrative 2.7 m-high wall with 0.1 m total trimming allowance, each drop is 2.8 m. A 50 m roll yields 17 complete drops before pattern matching, using 47.6 m and leaving 2.4 m. Those drops contain enough width for 20.74 m of wall before seam adjustments; their finished height is the chosen 2.7 m, not the 2.8 m cut length.
Build the Quantity from the Wall Layout
Apply the same logic to an illustrative 8.4 m × 2.7 m wall. Divide 8.4 by 1.22 and round up: seven full-width drops are needed before seam adjustment. At the assumed 2.8 m cut length, the initial plan uses 19.6 linear metres. It fits within one 50 m roll before matching or other losses.
The net wall area is 22.68 m², while the seven untrimmed cuts contain 23.912 m². Neither number alone is the order quantity. Record the cut schedule, agreed spares and minimum roll purchase separately, and have the installer resolve openings rather than subtracting their area automatically.
- Example wall: 8.4 m wide × 2.7 m high
- Round up 8.4 ÷ 1.22 → 7 drops
- Assume 2.8 m per drop including trim
- 7 × 2.8 m = 19.6 linear metres before matching
- Reconcile cuts, spares and complete-roll purchase
Compare Gloss and Texture on the Selected Finish
Compare the actual high-gloss marble reference with the embossed alternative under the intended room lighting. Open a complete pattern area and add an adjoining piece: sheen and relief can change the result even when size and listed thickness agree. The PVC references are self-adhesive and list waterproof/water-resistant, moisture-proof and mould-proof features. Keep any required named performance classification as a selected-product evidence requirement.

Prepare the Installation Brief for the Wide Roll
Give the installer an elevation showing openings, direction, starting line, joins and edge terminations. Add the actual substrate and selected-product preparation and handling guidance. Surface repair and removal of residue are established wallcovering principles; the local method must suit this material and surface.
Film formation, surface finishing and converting answer different industry questions. Calendering is an established route for forming wide PVC film; it does not establish the process used for your chosen roll. Keep the selected thickness and finish with the roll dimensions and cut plan.
Place Each Design on Its Own Order Line
Use a separate order line for each approved design: product, finish, selected thickness, 1.22m × 50m format and complete-roll quantity. These references each list a one-roll minimum, while carton contents need a current quotation. The 0.20–0.30mm field is a range; specify the version you intend to buy. Pair any Multi selection label with the actual approved design image.
| Quotation field | Required entry |
|---|---|
| Identity | 18231/18232/18233 + approved design |
| Format | 1.22 m × 50 m |
| Thickness | Selected version within listed 0.20–0.30 mm range |
| Quantity | Complete rolls; published minimum 1 roll |
| Packing | Current carton contents to quote |
Approve the Finish Alongside the Roll Plan
Keep the approved opened sample, thickness, direction and adjoining-piece result beside the cut schedule. Revisit the layout if the design changes after calculation. In the 8.4m × 2.7m illustration, seven 2.8m cuts use 19.6 linear metres before matching; the purchase remains complete rolls plus agreed extra material. Record the reason for extras instead of applying an unexplained universal waste percentage.

Request a Quote for the Defined Wall Project
Send the wall elevation, approved product and design, selected thickness, drop schedule and requested complete-roll quantity. Add substrate details, destination, the sample you want evaluated and any project-specific documents or packing requirements. Keep example calculations clearly separate from your actual site measurements.
Relia Wallpaper is a China-based factory business with these real wide-roll references available for product-led enquiries. A defined roll plan lets us address the finish and supply format you have chosen, while the local installer controls the actual application and any site-specific adjustments.
