Source a Private-Label Window-Film Format from Existing Rolls

For a private-label window-film range, define the film and one complete retail unit before designing its package. Our existing static-cling PVC/PET, adhesive PET and frosted PVC references provide real 50m base formats and product-specific minimums. Choose mounting, width and appearance first, then request the shorter length, conversion and brand pack as a separately assessed supply scope.

Choose the Film and Its Mounting Type

At Relia Wallpaper, choose the film before its brand pack. The static-cling reeded reference is PVC/PET at 0.20mm, with four widths. The adhesive reeded PET reference is 152cm wide with 0.10/0.12mm thickness references. Frosted static-cling PVC is 60/90cm wide at 0.20mm. These are different mounting and material routes. None states OEM/ODM acceptance here, so new cutting, rewinding and branding belong in the requested offer.

Use the Listed Widths as the Starting Point

Begin with a listed width before asking for a new one. The static-cling reeded source lists 60, 90, 120 and 152cm; adhesive PET reeded lists 152cm; frosted PVC lists 60 or 90cm. A brand may choose a single launch width to keep shelf information simpler, but that is a range decision, not a statement that every finish is supplied at that width. If a proposed retail width requires slitting a wider roll, identify the request separately. Ask how the edge, pattern direction and usable width would be controlled in the proposed offer.

A Self-Adhesive PET Route for the Range

The adhesive PET option has self-adhesive and removable descriptions; it is not the adhesive-free static-cling route. Keep its selected finish and supplied gauge with the retail description. Its listed trade format is 152cm × 50m. A shorter retail length needs its own offered unit, while a change in material or gauge should be compared as a different product.

Define One Complete Retail Unit

Define one retail unit by film width, usable length, rolls inside and included information. A hypothetical 90cm × 2m single roll contains 1.8m² nominally. Dividing 50m into 2m lengths gives at most 25 lengths before losses; it does not establish an available conversion or saleable yield.

Width cutting, short-length division and rewinding are separate tasks. The offer should keep the selected film and any liner correctly identified, while stating the actual finished unit and quantity it can supply.

Keep the Brand Information Tied to the Actual Film

Build the label around the film a customer will receive: mounting type, dimensions, selected pattern and relevant application guidance. Include the buyer’s brand assets and product naming separately from the supplier’s product reference, so the approved retail item remains traceable to its base. Ordinary waterproof, removable or privacy descriptions should follow the selected product. Do not add a safety-glass function, a solar-control percentage or a no-damage removal promise to make the package sound more technical. If a market-specific statement is essential, identify the supporting information required for that exact item.

A Frosted PVC Direction in White and Black

Select one of the frosted PVC appearance labels: frosted white, frosted, frosted black, or frosted white and black. Compare the chosen film on representative glass. Keep that appearance with the requested width; the labels do not establish a ready-made assorted pack in every size. For a patterned short roll, also check the proposed start position before approving the brand artwork.

Keep Roll Minimums and Metre Minimums Distinct

Keep standard purchasing units distinct from the conversion request. The two reeded products state one roll per model; the frosted PVC source states a 20m minimum despite a listed 50m format. That 20m field does not define an arbitrary retail cut-length service. For an illustrative 100-unit order at 2m per unit, the requested saleable length is 200m before conversion allowances. Ask the offer to show base-film quantity, expected saleable output, conversion work and packaging separately. Their minimums and costs can differ, so a low base-film threshold does not settle the economics of branded short rolls.

Review the Finish before the Retail Presentation

If the proposed retail item can be supplied, review one complete sample: selected film, stated length, roll presentation, readable label and any instructions. Compare the film with the accepted glass sample, then record the retail contents and outer-carton contents separately. A different core, length or folding arrangement can change handling and package size, so those details should appear in the offered version.

Request One Offer for the Defined Retail Item

Send a unit-based RFQ naming the base film, actual appearance, mounting route, requested retail width and length, unit count and brand-pack files. State whether you will accept a listed standard width if new slitting is unsuitable. Request an offer that identifies conversion feasibility, saleable yield, quantity conditions, packing, sample scope and delivery terms. We can then address a defined private-label format. Your purchasing team can compare the complete retail item with the standard trade-roll alternative instead of comparing two prices for materially different supply scopes.

Define the Film Item Your Customers Will Buy

Send the actual base-film reference, mounting preference and required retail width and length. Include the number of rolls per saleable unit, total units and proposed brand files, so the offer can identify conversion feasibility, yield, packing and sample scope together.
